From the onset, Apium had the core value to provide their technologies to where they are needed and to participate in markets where they lead change. With our expert knowledge in material science and mechanical engineering, we have made the international breakthrough in Additive Manufacturing by providing the world's first Materials Extrusion PEEK 3D Printer in 2015. From this moment on, we have known that we could lead change in the medical industry by using our 3D printing technology to enable the rapid production of patient specific PEEK medical implants and devices. This way saving-lives is further positioned at the centre of medical practice.
Strong Partnerships for Unique Solution Development
Since 2015, we have been working on building a strong network for our solution for medical applications. Our partners; key industry leaders, play a significant role in our value chain for developing a unique solution for each step of the supply chain.
Today we are proud to be partners with The Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Evonik, Swiss Medical Additive Manufacturing – Department of Biomedical Engineering University of Basel and SRM AG.
Next Steps for Our Development
Apium’s next step is to validate its brand-new Apium M series system according to ISO 10993 guidelines. This system is driven by the successes we have had in PEEK 3D printing technology coupled with the design updates inspired by inputs from medical device regulatory bodies and end-users from the medical industry.
This unique system will guarantee a germ-free printing of your models thus preventing any form of contamination in the part. The market readiness of this one-of-a-kind certified 3D Printer for the medical application is our primary goal.
"Our desire is to satisfy a worldwide need for patient-specific medical treatments."
