The filament is fed from a large coil, through a set of gears feeding a mobile heated print head (extruder) from where molten material is extruded through a nozzle. The molten material is then deposited on the growing workpiece aided by a computer controlled movements of the nozzle till the desired part is created in a layer by layer order.
