Apium P Series 3D Printers

What is the printing speed of Apium P Series 3D Printers?

The printing time is strongly dependent on material, part geometry, size and infill rate. Surfaces are generally printed slower than the infill (the material mass inside the model) because of the optical quality.

For a time reference, a dice with an edge lenghts of 20 mm and 100% Infill can be printed within 1:50 hours and needs 3.22 meters of filament.

What is the effective build volume of Apium P Series 3D Printers?

The print volume (l x w x h) of Apium P220 is 205 x 155 x 150 mm. To avoid the thermal distortion of PEEK and other materials, additional surface-engaging geometries must be applied to the print-bed, which are designed according to the geometry of parts and therefore can reduce the effective build volume.

What are the minimum sizes feasible to print?

Apium P Series 3D printers are equipped with a 0.4 mm diameter nozzle. Straight-lined geometries right up to 0.5 mm in the horizontal wall thickness and 0.1 mm in the vertical layer thickness are feasible.

How high is the temperature during printing?

Apium P Series 3D printers are equipped with state-of-the-art heating and controlling technology. Apium Adaptive Heating System is an intelligent thermal moderator, which guarantees the best temperature distribution possible in the part, depending on the part geometry and specific material characteristics.

This uniqueness of Apium`s patented technology enables the end-users to process PEEK in amorphous and semi-crystalline phases and control material characteristics such as stiffness, crystallinity and many more.

Together with the Apium Adaptive Heating System, the P Series 3D printers are equipped with extruders, which can heat up to 540°C, and with a heated print-bed, which can heat up to 160°C.

Which materials can be processed with Apium P Series?

Apium P-Series 3D printers are equipped with the Apium Advanced Extruder, which can process carbon fiber reinforced PEEK, PEEK, high performance polymers, thermoplastics, metals and composites.

How does the filament change work and what should be considered?

Apium has designed the print cores for high temperature/high performance polymers enabling easy material change. With the innovative print core design, you are able to start your new print job with a new material within 10 minutes.

It is recommended to use a separate nozzle for each material due to different melting temperatures.
